Materials and Manufacture6.1 MaterialsThe material of manufacture shall be castbillets or slabs of one of the alloys cited in Section 1 of thisspecification. The cast material
19、 shall be of such soundness andpurity as to be suitable for processing into the productsprescribed herein.6.2 Manufacture:6.2.1 The product shall be manufactured by such hotworking, cold working, and annealing processes as to producea uniform wrought structure in the finished product.6.2.2 The produ
20、ct shall be hot or cold worked to the finishsize, and heat-treated when required, to meet the temperproperties specified.7. Chemical Composition7.1 The material shall conform to the chemical compositionrequirements in Table 1 for the copper alloy UNS No.designation specified in the ordering informat
21、ion.7.2 These composition limits do not preclude the presenceof other elements. By agreement between the manufacturer andpurchaser, limits may be established and analysis required forunnamed elements.7.3 For alloys in which copper is given as remainder, copperis the difference between the sum of all
22、 the elements analyzedand 100 %. When all the elements in Table 1 are analyzed, thesum of results shall be 99.5 % minimum.8. Temper8.1 The standard tempers for products described in thisspecification are given in Table 2.8.1.1 Copper Alloy UNS No. C17410 Strip and Sheet isoffered in the TH02 (12 HT)

(1.905 mm) in thicknessfurnished under this specification shall conform to the tensilerequirements prescribed in Table 2, when tested in accordancewith Test
