、Designation: B96/B96M 11Standard Specification forCopper-Silicon Alloy Plate, Sheet, Strip, and Rolled Bar forGeneral Purposes and Pressure Vessels1This standard is issued under the fixed designation B96/B96M; the number immediately following the designation indicates the year oforiginal adoption or
、, in the case of revision, the year of last revision. A number in parentheses indicates the year of last reapproval. Asuperscript epsilon () indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval. This standard has been approved for use by agencies of the Department of Defense.1. Scope*1
、.1 This specification establishes the requirements forcopper-silicon alloy plate, sheet, strip, and rolled bar fordrawing, forming, stamping, bending, and general engineeringapplications, and for pressure vessel applications. The alloysinvolved are copper alloys UNS Nos. C65100, C65400, andC65500.1.
、2 When product is ordered for ASME Boiler and PressureVessel Code applications, consult the Code2for applicablealloys.1.3 UnitsThe values stated in either inch-pound or SIunits are to be regarded separately as standard. Within the text,SI units are shown in brackets. The values in each system maynot
、 be exact equivalents; therefore, each system shall be usedindependently of the other. Combining values from the twosystems may result in non-conformance with the specification.2.
