Scope1.1 This specification covers mill-mixed gypsum concrete,consi

3、sting essentially of calcined gypsum and suitable aggre-gate, requiring the addition of water only at the job site.Gypsum concrete is intended for use in the construction ofpoured-in-place roof decks or slabs. Two classes, based on thecompressive strength and density, are covered.1.2 The values stat

4、ed in either inch-pound units or SI unitsare to be regarded separately as standard. The values stated ineach system may not be exact equivalents; therefore, eachsystem shall be used independently of the other. Combiningvalues from the two systems may result in nonconformancewith the standard.2. Refe

6、oncrete3. Terminology3.1 Definitions of terms shall be in accordance with Termi-nology C11.4. Materials and Manufacture4.1 Gypsum concrete shall consist of calcined gypsum towhich is added aggregates, wood chips, or wood shavings inproportion to meet the applicable requirements of this specifi-catio

7、n.4.2 Calcined GypsumSpecification C28/C28M.4.3 AggregatesSpecification C35.4.4 Wood Chips or Wood Shavings, shall be dry wood,uniform and clean in appearance, passing a 1-in. 25-mmsieve, and not more than116 in. 1.5 mm thick.5. Physical Properties5.1 Setting TimeGypsum concrete shall set in not les

8、sthan 20 min and not more than 90 min.5.2 Compressive StrengthGypsum concrete shall have thefollowing compressive strength for the respective classes:Class Compressive Strength, min,psi MPaA 500 3.5B 1000 7.05.3 DensityGypsum concrete, Class A, shall have a den-sity of not more than 60 lb/ft3960 kg/

9、m3.6. Sampling6.1 Randomly select at least 1 % of the packages, but notless than five packages. Take samples from both the outerportion and the center of each package. Mix the samples soobtained to provide a composite sample of not less than 15 lb6.5 kg. Immediately place the sample in a clean, dry,

10、 airtightcontainer for delivery to the laboratory.7. Test Methods7.1 Determine the physical properties of gypsum concrete inaccordance with Test Methods C472.7.1.1 Determine the setting time by the Vicat method.8. Inspection8.1 Inspection of the gypsum concrete shall be agreed uponbetween the purcha

11、ser and the supplier as part of the purchaseagreement.9. Rejection9.1 Rejection of gypsum concrete that fails to conform tothe requirements of this specification shall be reported to theproducer or supplier promptly and in writing. Certification10.1 When specified in the purchase agre

15、ement, a produc-ers or suppliers report shall be furnished at the time ofshipment certifying that the product is in compliance with thisspecification.11. Packaging and Marking11.1 Gypsum concrete shall be shipped dry and free oflumps.11.2 When shipped for resale, the following informationshall be le

16、gibly marked on each package or on a tag of suitablesize attached thereto:11.2.1 Name of the manufacturer or the seller,11.2.2 Brand,11.2.3 Description, and11.2.4 Net and gross weight of the package.12.
