18、t tape:4.3.2.1 Dimensional StabilityShall expand not more than0.4 % lengthwise and not more than 2.5 % crosswise.4.3.3 The following test is required of glass-mesh joint tape:4.3.3.1 Skewness, when tested in accordance with TestMethod D3882, shall be not more than 8.75 %.4.4 Assembly of Taping or Al
19、l-Purpose Compound andPaper Joint Tape:4.4.1 Bond between the joint tape and the joint compoundshall be not less than 90 %.4.4.2 Edge cracking shall be not more than 10 % along theedges of the tape specimen.5. Sampling5.1 Sampling of Joint CompoundAt least 1 %, but not lessthan one package or contai
20、ner shall be sampled and shall be soselected as to be representative of the shipment. The materialso obtained shall be thoroughly blended and divided. Providenot less than one 6-lb (2.75 kg) sample for the test.5.2 Sampling of Joint TapeAt least one roll for every tencases or a fraction thereof, but
21、 not more than ten rolls pershipment shall constitute a sample.6. Inspection6.1 Inspection of the joint compound and joint tape shall beagreed upon between the purchaser and the supplier as part ofthe purchase agreement.7. Rejection7.1 Rejection of joint compound and joint tape that fails toconform
22、to requirements of this specification shall be reportedto the producer or supplier promptly and in writing. The noticeof rejection shall contain a statement documenting how thejoint compound or joint tape has failed to conform to therequirements of this specification.8. Certification8.1 When specifi
23、ed in the purchase agreement, a producersor suppliers report shall be furnished at the time of shipmentcertifying that the product is in compliance with this specifi-cation.9. Packaging and Package Marking9.1 Joint compound and joint tape shall be marked on eachitem or package with the name, brand o
24、r trademark of themanufacturer or seller, size, and volume or net weight ofcontents.9.2 Joint compound packaged in open-head pails that arecovered by Specification F1615 shall be labeled in accordancewith Specification F1615.10.
