Test Methods8.1 Bend Test:8.1.1 Significance and UseThis test method is performedto determine the ductility of a nail, and used to determinecompliance with this specification.8.1.2 ProcedureHold the test nail in a vise and bend bymeans of a clamp
17、 or similar device attached to the free end ofthe nail through 90 over a radius not greater than the diameterof the nail.8.1.3 Precision and BiasNeither the precision nor the biasof the nail bend test have been determined.8.2 Withdrawal Resistance8.2.1 Significance and UseThis test method determines
18、the resistance to withdrawal from a wood block of the test nailcompared to a standard nail. It is used to determine compliancewith this specification.8.2.2 Apparatus:8.2.2.1 Testing machineThe testing machine shall be ofany type that is of sufficient capacity and that is capable ofapplying a tensile
