1、Designation: C530 10 C530 12Standard Specification forStructural Clay Nonloadbearing Screen Tile1This standard is issued under the fixed designation C530; the number immediately following the designation indicates the year oforiginal adoption or, in the case of revision, the year of last revision. A

2、 number in parentheses indicates the year of last reapproval. Asuperscript epsilon () indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.1. Scope*1.1 This specification covers unglazed, structural clay, nonloadbearing screen tile.1.2 The property requirements of this specification a

The use of results from testing of tile extractedfrom masonry structures for determining conformance or nonconformance to the property requirements (Section 54) of thisspecification is beyond the scope of this standard.1.3 Tile covered by this specification are manufact

4、ured from clay, shale, or similar naturally occurring substances and subjectedto a heat treatment at elevated temperatures (firing). The heat treatment must develop sufficient fired bond between the particulateconstituents to provide the strength and durability requirements of this specification. (S

These notes and footnotes(excluding those in tables and figures) shall not be considered as requirements of the specification.1.5 The values stated in i

Dimensions and Permissible Variations5.1 The dimensions of screen tile units shall be specified by the purchaser.NOTE 2Since screen tile are available i

Therefore, the specifier should ascertain local availability before specifying a particular unit size or pattern.5.2 No screen tile shall have gre

The texture and color range that will be visible in the finishedwall shall conform to an approved sample of at least four representative units.NOTE 3Tile colors vary with clay type and degree of burning.
