(51mm) square shall be cut.10.6 ProcedureAssemble the member, gypsum board andkraft paper on a rigid, flat surface. (See Fig. 4 for studs, Fig. 5for furring channels.) Drive the screw, using the
43、electric drillwhile applying a force (dead weight and applied force) of 30lbf (112.2 N). Drive the screw to slightly below the surface ofthe gypsum board. Note if the screw has spun out and thelength of time it takes to pull the head of the screw below thesurface.10.7 Number of Tests and Retests:10.
44、7.1 Five specimens of members shall be tested.10.7.2 If more than one test specimen fails to meet therequirements, two more test specimens shall be chosen forretesting.10.8 ReportReport shall indicate all specimens meetingthe requirements of this specification if the time read from thestop watch is
45、less than the time specified in Section 9, and thescrew did not spin out; or shall indicate all failing if the timeread is equal to or longer than the time specified in Section 9,or the screw spun out.10.9 Precision and BiasNo statement is made about eitherthe precision or bias of this test method s
46、ince the result merelystates whether or not there is conformance to the criteria forsuccess specified in the procedure.11. Inspection11.1 Inspection of the members shall be agreed uponbetween the purchaser and the producer or supplier as part ofthe purchase agreement.12. Rejection12.1 When specified
47、 in the purchase agreement, membersthat fail to conform to the requirements of the specificationshall be rejected. Rejection shall be reported to the producer orsupplier promptly and in writing. The notice of rejection shallcontain a statement documenting how the member has failed toconform to the r
48、equirements of this specification and thepurchase agreement.13. Certification13.1 When specified in the purchase agreement, a produc-ers or suppliers report shall be furnished at the time ofshipment certifying that the product is in compliance with thisspecification.14. Marking and Identification14.
49、1 Groups of like members shall be marked with a label,or a tag attached thereto. Marking shall include the rollformersidentification (name, logo, or initials), length, quantity androllformers member designator including member depth,flange size, and minimum steel thickness in mils or inches,exclusive of protective coating.14.2 In addition to the marking referenced in 14.1, indi-vidual members shall have a legible label, stencil, or emboss-ment, at a maximum distance of 96 in. (2440 mm) on center, onthe mem
