Scope1.1 This specification covers structural insulating board forgeneral thermal insulating, fire-resistive, and marine bulkheada
3、pplications. The rigid, preformed structural insulating board isfor use at temperatures up to 1700F (927C). For specificapplications, the actual temperature limit shall be agreed uponbetween the manufacturer and the purchaser.1.2 The structural insulating board maintains its structuralintegrity afte
4、r immersion in water.1.3 Rapid cycling over a wide temperature range is notrecommended because of potential damage due to thermalshock.1.4 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regardedas standard. Inspection13.1 Unless otherwise specified, the following requirementsshall be employed for purposes of acceptance sampling of lotsor shipments of qualified insulation:13.1.1 Density,13.1.2 Flexural strength,13.1.3 Dimensions, and13.1.4 Workmanship, finish, and appearance.13.2 I
34、nspection of the material shall be agreed upon be-tween the purchaser and the supplier.14. Rejection and Rehearing14.1 Failure to conform to the requirements in this specifi-cation shall constitute cause for rejection. Rejection shall bereported to the producer or supplier promptly and in writing.14
35、.2 In case of rejection, the manufacturer or supplier shallhave the right to reinspect the rejected shipment and resubmitthe lot after removal of that portion not conforming to thespecified requirements.15. Certification15.1 When specified in the purchase order or contract, themanufacturers or selle
36、rs certification shall be furnished to thepurchaser stating that samples representing each lot have beenmanufactured, tested, and inspected in accordance with thisspecification and the requirements have been met. Whenspecified in the purchase order or contract, a report of the testresults shall be f

Packaging and Package Marking16.1 PackagingUnless otherwise specified, the manufac-turers standard packaging system shall be used.16.2 Marking:16.2.1 Unless otherwise specified, each package shall bemarked with the manufacturers name, the product name,quantity, nominal dimensions, and m
