Scope*1.1 This specification covers foaming agents specificallyformulated for making preformed foa

3、m for use in the produc-tion of cellular concrete.1.2 The function of this specification is to provide the meansfor evaluating the performance of a specific foaming agent.This is accomplished by using the foaming agent in making astandard cellular concrete test batch (see Test Method C796)from which

4、 test specimens are cast. Then, significant propertiesof the concrete are determined by tests and compared with therequirements of Section 3.1.3 The values stated in either SI units or inch-pound unitsare to be regarded separately as standard. The values stated ineach system may not be exact equival

5、ents; therefore, eachsystem shall be used independently of the other. Combiningvalues from the two systems may result in non-conformancewith the standard.2. 18、ulated oven-dry density of the test batch may bedetermined by assuming that the water of hydration is 20 % of the weight of thecement. If the wet density, after pumping, ismeasured to be 640 kg/m340 lb/ft3, the batch volume is 71.1/640 = 0.111 m3158/40 = 3.95 ft3. The calculated oven-dry density is then 1.2 x 45/0.111 = 486kg/m31.2 x 100/3.95 = 30.4 lb/ft3.BThe loss of air during pumping includes air that is accidently entrapped duringmixing of the concrete.C869/C869M 11 (2016)2
