1、Designation: C 884/C 884M 98 (Reapproved 2005)Standard Test Method forThermal Compatibility Between Concrete and an Epoxy-Resin Overlay1This standard is issued under the fixed designation C 884/C 884M; the number immediately following the designation indicates the yearof original adoption or, in the

2、 case of revision, the year of last revision. A number in parentheses indicates the year of last reapproval.A superscript epsilon (e) indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval. This standard has been approved for use by agencies of the Department of Defense.1. Scope1.1 This

3、test method covers the determination of whichepoxy-resin formulations are subject to debonding when usedas overlays for concrete when the combination of the two issubjected to temperature changes that may be met in the field.1.2 The values stated in either inch-pound units or SI unitsare to be regar

4、ded separately as standard. Within the text, theSI units are shown in brackets. The values stated in eachsystem are not exact equivalents; therefore, each system shallbe used independently of the other. Combining values from thetwo systems may result in nonconformance with the specifi-cation.1.3 Thi

Summary of Test Method3.1 A layer of epoxy-sand mortar is applied to a slab ofcured and dried concrete. After the epoxy has cured, the sampleis subjected to five cycles of temperature

8、 change between 77F25C and 6F 21C. Cracks near the bond line betweenthe concrete and the epoxy mortar constitute failure of the test.4. Significance and Use4.1 This test method applies to materials used in makingepoxy-mortar overlays for concrete pavement. When debond-ing occurs between the overlay

If an epoxy resin should contact theskin, it shall be removed immediately with a dry cloth or papertowel, and the area of contact shall be washed thoroughly withsoap and water. Solvents shall not be
