1、Designation: C 908 00 (Reapproved 2006)Standard Test Method forYield Strength of Preformed Tape Sealants1This standard is issued under the fixed designation C 908; the number immediately following the designation indicates the year oforiginal adoption or, in the case of revision, the year of last re

2、vision. A number in parentheses indicates the year of last reapproval. Asuperscript epsilon (e) indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.1. Scope1.1 This test method covers a laboratory procedure fordetermining the yield strength of preformed tape sealants.1.2 The values s

The values given in parentheses arefor information only.1.3 This standard does not purport to address all of thesafety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is theresponsibility of the user of this standard to establish appr

Thisprocedure is not intended to simulate an actual use conditionbut will give some indication of the cohesive and adhesivebonding properties of the tape. It also provides an indication ofthe modulus and tensile strength o

Place a glass plate over the tape to complete thetest specimen assembly in accordance with Fig. 1.7.1.4 Compress the assembly at 51 mm (2 in.)/min bymeans of a laboratory press, or equivalent, until the tape sealantthickness is 5.1 mm (0.20 in.), and main
