40、Thicknesses over 25mm (1 in.) shall be measured using a sliding caliper gage or as specified in 15.1. When a sliding caliper gage is employed the gagesetting shall be made with the gage out of contact with the closed cell vinyl. The specimen shall be passed through the previouslyset gage, and the pr

The dialgage for measuring thickness shall be graduated

The calipers used for measuringthickness shall be graduated in divisions not over 0.1 mm (0.005 in.).15.4 Results reported shall be the average of a minimum of three measurements.COMPRESSION DEFLECTION TEST METHODCOMPRESSION DEFLECTION TEST METHOD16. Scope1

43、6.1 This test consists of measuring the force necessary to produce a 25 % deflection on a 650-mm645.16-mm2 (1-in.2) testspecimen.17. Apparatus17.1 The apparatus used for this test shall have a flat indentor foot, larger than the specimen being tested, connected to aforce-measuring device, and mounte

The apparatus shall be arranged to support the specimen on a level, horizontal plate.D1667 17418. Test Specimens18.1 The specimens shall be cylinders 650 mm28.67 6 0.50 mm in diameter, wh

They shall be cut so that opposite edges are parallel, either from the finished product in amanner agreed upon between the manufacturer and the purchaser, or from standard test slabs, or from commercial flat sheets.

46、Thethickness of the test specimens shall be measured and stated in the report. Maximum thickness shall be 2525.4 mm (1.0 in.). Thespecimens shall be cut with either a revolving die or oscillating cutter. Use a soap solution if a lubricant is needed. If a lubricantis used, the specimen shall be thoro

In some cases, it may be necessary to freezethe cellular vinyl to obtain parallel cut edges.NOTE 4Other specimen sizes can be used as agreed upon between user and supplier.19.
