Scope1.1 This test method covers the determination of the dura-bility of the enamel or other decorative coating of a zipperwhen s

Summary of Test Method4.1 Specimens are laundered in laboratory equipment at alow liquor-to-goods ratio under conditions of temperature, bleaching, and abrasive action that produce the effect ofrepeated launderings in a conveniently s
8、hort time. The zippercoating is abraded by the throw, slide, and impact of anappropriate number of steel balls. The effects of the test onzipper coating are evaluated by noting the loss of coating onthe zipper chain or components, or both.5. Significance and Use5.1 Test Method D 2051 is useful for t
9、esting to determinethe effect of repeated laundering on the appearance of thedecorative coating of a zipper.5.2 This test method is considered satisfactory for accep-tance testing of commercial shipments because the method hasbeen used extensively in the trade for acceptance testing.5.2.1 If there a

As a minimum, the test samples should be used that areas homogen

Other materials with established test values may beused for this purpose. The test results from the two laboratoriessho

If a bias isfound, either its cause must be found and corrected, or futuretest results must be adjusted in consideration of the knownbias.5.3 The test method(s) in the standard along
