2、. A number in parentheses indicates the year of last reapproval. Asuperscript epsilon (e) indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.1. Scope1.1 This test method covers the determination of the alter-ation in shade of the textile portion of zippers when exposed tolight, rega

Within the text, the inch-pound units are shown in parentheses. The valuesstated in each system are not exact equivalents; therefore, eachsystem shall be u

Combiningvalues from the two systems may result in nonconformancewith this test method.1.3 This standard does not purport to address all of thesafety concerns, if any, associated with its use. 9、artificial light for a predetermined period of expo-sure. Fading of the specimen is evaluated and rated by meansof the AATCC Gray Scale for Color Change.5. Significance and Use5.1 This test method is useful in determining if the loss ofcolor due to light exposure is satisfactory for the intendedend-
10、use.5.2 This test method is considered satisfactory for accep-tance testing of commercial shipments because the method hasbeen used extensively in the trade for acceptance testing.5.2.1 If there are differences of practical significance be-tween reported test results for two laboratories (or more),c
11、omparative tests should be performed to determine if their isa statistical bias between them, using competent statisticalassistance. As a minimum, the test samples should be used thatare as homogeneous as possible, that are drawn from thematerial from which the disparate test results were obtained,a

The test results from thetwo laboratories should be compared using a statistical test forunpaired data, at a probability level chosen prior to the t

If a bias is found, either its cause must be found and1This test method is under the jurisdiction of ASTM Committee D13 on Textilesand is the direct responsibility of Subcommittee D13.54 on Subassemblies. The enumerated test methods do not providefor the evaluation of all zipper properties. Besides thoseproperties measured by means of the enumerated test methodsthere are other prope

Precision and Bias11.1 PrecisionIt is not possible to specify the precision ofthis test method because of the restricted and nonlinearrelationships between the rating scales of color d

This
