、Designation: D580/D580M 15Standard Specification forGreige Woven Glass Tapes and Webbings1This standard is issued under the fixed designation D580/D580M; the number immediately following the designation indicates the yearof original adoption or, in the case of revision, the year of last revision. A

、number in parentheses indicates the year of last reapproval.A superscript epsilon () indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.1. Scope1.1 This specification primarily covers greige tapes andwebbings woven from “E” electrical classification glass fiberyarns. This specificat

、ion can also be applied to tapes andwebbings made of other glass fiber grades upon agreementbetween the purchaser and the supplier.1.2 This specification is intended to assist ultimate users bydesignating the types of these products that are typical in theindustry. This specification permits the app

、lication of organicmaterials to the glass fiber yarn during manufacture that helpsfacilitate weaving. When used as permitted in thisspecification, such materials will not interfere with the in-tended end use requirements.1.3 The values stated in either SI units or inch-pound unitsare to be regarded

、separately as standard. The values stated ineach system may not be exact equivalents; therefore, eachsystem shall be used independently of the other. Combiningvalues from the two systems may result in nonconformancewith the standard.1.4 This standard does not purport to address all of thesafety conc
