1、Designation: D903 98 (Reapproved 2010)Standard Test Method forPeel or Stripping Strength of Adhesive Bonds1This standard is issued under the fixed designation D903; the number immediately following the designation indicates the year oforiginal adoption or, in the case of revision, the year of last r

It is expressed in kilograms per millimetre(pounds per inch) of width.4. Apparatus4.1 Testing MachineA power-

8、driven machine, with aconstant rate-of-jaw separation or of the inclination balance orpendulum type, which fulfills the following requirements:4.1.1 The applied tension as measured and recorded isaccurate within 61%.4.1.2 Hold specimens in the testing machine by grips whichclamp firmly and prevent s

9、lipping at all times.4.1.3 The rate of travel of the power-actuated grip is 305mm (12 in.)/min. This rate which provides a separation of 152mm (6 in.)/min is to be uniform throughout the tests.4.1.4 Operate the machine without any device for maintain-ing maximum load indication. In pendulum-type mac

23、 member for a distance of about1 in. Place the specimen in the testing machine by clamping thefree end of the 8-in. long member in one grip, turning back thefree end of the flexible member and clamping it in the othergrip as shown in Fig. 2. Attach the separated end of thespecimen, with all separate

24、 parts except the one under testsecurely gripped, to the recording head by means of a clampusing care to adjust it symmetrically in order that the tension isdistributed uniformly. Maintain the specimen during the testapproximately in the plane of the clamps. This may be doneeither by attaching the m

Ineither case, take into account the added weight in determiningthe load causing separation. Grip the 1-in. wide flexiblemember symmetrically and firm

Strip the separatingmember from the specimen approximately at an angle of 180and continue the separation for a sufficient distance to indicatethe peel or stripping value. Peel at
