Composition and Properties4.1 Aluminum Pigment Powder (Type 1, Leafing and Type3, Nonleafing)The al
8、uminum pigment powder shall consistof commercially pure aluminum in the form of fine, polishedflakes, and a suitable fatty lubricant. It shall contain no filler orextender pigments.4.2 Aluminum Pigment Paste (Type 2, Leafing and Type 4,Nonleafing)The aluminum pigment paste shall consist ofcommercial
9、ly pure aluminum in the form of fine, polishedflakes, and a suitable fatty lubricant combined with a volatilethinner. It shall contain no filler or extender pigments.4.3 The aluminum pigments, powder, and paste of bothleafing and nonleafing types shall conform to the requirementsgiven in Table 1.4.4
10、 The paint made from the powder or paste shall befree-flowing and shall give a continuous coating at least equalin smoothness, luster, and general appearance to that of areference sample mutually agreed upon by the purchaser andthe seller.4.5 The aluminum pigments, powder and paste of bothleafing an
11、d nonleafing types, stored in unopened originalpackages within 6 months after shipment shall pass all testsapplicable to the respective type and class as described in TestMethods D 480.5. Test Methods and Sampling5.1 Sampling and tests shall be conducted in accordancewith Test Methods D 480. Since s
