In those cases where such a specication is required, its magnitude will vary widely with the intended usage. The required value may be measured using Test Method D1686. It is fur

16、ther recommended that the directives of Practice D3852 be strictly followed in any case where color is important. 3.2 See Section 5 for nonmandatory supplemental requirements. 4. Sampling 4.1 The material shall be sampled and the properties enumerated in this specication shall be determined in accor

17、dance with the following ASTM methods: 4.1.1 The specimens shall be placed only in a clean and dry glass container sealed with a screw cap tted with a polyethylene liner. Rubber, cork, or coated paper closures or liners shall not be used. Special care shall be taken to avoid contact with iron, dirt

18、or moisture. Sampling shall be carried out in accordance with Practice D3852. 5. Supplementary Requirements (Non-Mandatory) 5.1 The following supplementary requirement shall apply only when specied by the purchaser in the purchase order or contract: Property Specication ASTM Test Method Molten color

Keywords 6.1 phenol SUMMARY OF CHANGES Committee D16 has identied the location of selected changes to this standard since the last issue (D243

21、9 96 (2008) that may impact the use of this standard. (Approved June 1, 2012.) (1) Section 3 Withdrawn Test Method D1493 was removed and replaced with the current Test Method D6875. The color requirement was pulled from 3.1 and 3.2 was added. (2)Section 5 This section was added and the color require
