28、.1 Polyethylene CompoundsPolyethylene compoundssuitable for use in the manufacture of pipe under this specifi-cation shall meet thermoplastic materials designation codesPE1404 or PE2708 or PE3608 or PE4608 or PE4710, and shallmeet Table 1 requirements for PE1404 or PE2708 or PE3608or PE4608 or PE471
29、0, and shall meet thermal stability,brittleness temperature and elongation at break requirements inaccordance with Specification D33505.1.1 Color and Ultraviolet (UV) StabilizationPer Table3, polyethylene compounds shall meet Specification D3350code C, D or E. In addition, Code C polyethylene compou
30、ndsshall have 2 to 3 percent carbon black, and Code E polyethyl-ene compounds shall have sufficient UV stabilizer to protectpipe from deleterious UV exposure effects during unprotectedoutdoor shipping and storage for at least eighteen (18) months.5.1.2 Colors for solid color, a color shell layer, or
