General Requirements5.1 All standard tests shall be made at 25 6 3C (77 625F) and 50 6 5 % relative humidity, immediately afterbaking unless otherwise specified.6. Sampling6.1 The numb

Liquid Coating Properties7.1 Viscosity:7.1.1 It is common to measure the viscosity of coil coatingsusing an efflux technique (Ford or Zahn cup). This provides asimple, rapid technique for controlling the viscos
42、ity of aproduct, either in a paint production facility, or on-line at a coilcoating facility. Coatings in the coil industry, however, cover awide range of generic qualities, with many of them havingnon-Newtonian rheological characteristics. It is important,therefore, to consider the behavior of thes
43、e coatings underdifferent shear conditions, as well as measuring efflux viscos-ity. Some of the test methods require little expertise, whereother test methods involve costly equipment and a high level ofexperience to run and interpret the rheological data.7.1.2 Efflux ViscosityDetermine efflux visco
