PURITY OF PERCHLOROETHYLENEX1.1 The analysis of perchloroethylene samples taken fromdrycleaning machines having significant corrosion problemssuggests that there may be a relationship between this corro-sion and the presence of certain halogenated

14、impurities in thesolvent. A guideline of 500 ppm (max) 1,1,1 trichloroethane asa contaminant in perchloroethylene is recommended.ASTM International takes no position respecting the validity of any patent rights asserted in connection with any item mentionedin this standard.
