1、Designation: D4998 11D4998 13Standard Test Method forEvaluating Wear Characteristics of Tractor Hydraulic Fluids1This standard is issued under the fixed designation D4998; the number immediately following the designation indicates the year oforiginal adoption or, in the case of revision, the year of

2、 last revision. A number in parentheses indicates the year of last reapproval. Asuperscript epsilon () indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.1. Scope*1.1 This test method is used to screen lubricants for gear wear. It is primarily applicable to tractor hydraulic fluids

3、but may besuitable for other applications.1.2 The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as standard. No other units of measurement are included in this standard.1.3 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is the responsibilityo

4、f the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety and health practices and determine the applicability of regulatorylimitations prior to use.
