1、Designation: D5657 07 (Reapproved 2014)Standard Test Method forFluid Tightness Ability of Adhesives Used on ThreadedFasteners1This standard is issued under the fixed designation D5657; the number immediately following the designation indicates the year oforiginal adoption or, in the case of revision

2、, the year of last revision. A number in parentheses indicates the year of last reapproval. Asuperscript epsilon () indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.1. Scope1.1 This test method covers the determination of the abilityof adhesives used for locking and sealing thread

3、ed fasteners, tomake leak-tight assemblies.1.2 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regardedas the standard. The SI units given in parentheses are forinformation only.1.3 This standard does not purport to address all of thesafety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is therespons

6、consists of subjecting an adhesive-cured nut-and-bolt assembly to 50-psi pressure and determin-ing the cured adhesives ability to make the assembly leak-tight.5. Significance and Use5.1 Thread-locking adhesives are often used on threadedfasteners in sealing applications. This test method is used tod
