Classification4.1 The thermoplastic fabrics covered by this specificationare of the following general constructio

10、 The fabric shall be a uniform, thin, porous mat of theprimary thermoplastic polymer, with or without the addition ofreinforcing stranded glass or thermoplastic yarns. Chemicallybonding with a water-resistant resin or thermally bonding withother thermoplastic polymers shall be permitted.6. Physical
11、Properties, Thickness, and Mass6.1 Fabrics shall conform to the thickness, mass, andphysical properties presented in Table 1.7. Sampling9.1 Sample the material and determine the properties enu-merated in this specification in accordance with the testp
15、rocedures referenced herein (also see Practice D 1776).10. Thickness10.1 Determine the thickness of the fabric using the proce-dures described in Test Methods D 1777.11. Breaking Load and Elongation11.1 Determine the breaking load and elongation by the cutstrip method as described in Test Methods D
16、4830 and D 5035.The preferred SI unit for breaking load is kN/m.12. Trapezoid Tearing Strength12.1 Determine the trapezoid tearing strength using theprocedures described in Test Methods D 5733.13. Puncture Strength13.1 Determine the puncture strength using the proceduresdescribed in Test Methods D 4

Inspection14.1 InspectionInspection shall be in accordance with therequirements of this specification.14.2 Inspection AlternativesAlternative inspection re-quirements shall be determined by and as agreed upon betweenthe purchaser and the supplier.15. Rejection and Resubmittal15.1 Failure to
18、ConformFailure to conform to any of therequirements as stated in this specification constitutes groundsfor rejection.15.2 Rejection RedressThe supplier shall have the right toinspect the rejected materials. The supplier and the purchasershall agree to the quantity of rolls deemed unacceptable. Thesu
19、pplier shall then have the right to submit the same number ofnew rolls as replacement.16. Packaging and Package Marking16.1 The rolls shall be wrapped or banded securely with asubstantial grade of paper, plastic wrap, or taping that encirclesthe roll in a manner that will prevent slipping or unravel
20、ing.16.2 No roll shall contain more than two pieces, and nomore than 3 % of the rolls in any lot (pallet or shipment) shallcontain two pieces. Pieces represent roll ends that can be oneof the following: (1) individual and loose, (2) adhered, or (3)stitched to appear as one continuous piece. These ro
21、lls must bemarked clearly with a red tag or other item to identify thelocation of the splice.16.3 Unless otherwise specified, each package shall bemarked plainly with the manufacturers or suppliers name,product or brand name, or both, and theASTM designation andtype.17.
