1、Designation: D 5702 07Standard Practice forField Sampling of Coating Films for Analysis for HeavyMetals1This standard is issued under the fixed designation D 5702; the number immediately following the designation indicates the year oforiginal adoption or, in the case of revision, the year of last re

2、vision. A number in parentheses indicates the year of last reapproval. Asuperscript epsilon (e) indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.1. Scope1.1 This practice covers a method to control the removal ofsamples of coating films from substrates for subsequent labo-ratory a

3、nalysis for heavy metal content on a mass basis. Thistechnique can be used in the field, the fabricating shop, orlaboratory.1.2 The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as thestandard. The values in parentheses are for information only.1.3 This standard does not purport to address all of the

It is theresponsibility of the user of this standard to establish appro-priate safety and health practices and determine the applica-bility of regulatory limitations prior to use. The presence and quantityof hazardous materials in a paint can be determined throughlaboratory analysis; however, since the analysis is b

Thus, consideration shouldbe given to collecting this surface debris and chalk for analysis.5.3 At each sample site, use a knife and straight edge toscribe the perimeter of a square t
