Scope1.1 This specification covers the requirements and testmethods for the material, dimensions, and workma

3、nship, andthe properties of extruded sheet, rod and tubular bar manufac-tured from PVDF.1.2 The properties included in this specification are thoserequired for the compositions covered. Requirements neces-sary to identify particular characteristics important to special-ized applications may be descr

4、ibed by using the classificationsystem given in Section 4.1.3 This specification allows for the use of recycled plastics(as defined in Guide D 5033).1.4 The values stated in English units are to be regarded asthe standard in all property and dimensional tables. Classification and Material4.1 Product shape and size as defined in the applicablepurchase order.4.2 This specification covers product extruded and compres-sion molded as listed in Table S-PVDF. Products included inthe des

15、ignations reference Specification D 3222 callouts whereapplicable.4.2.1 The type of PVDF shape product may be categorizedby type, grade and class depending on resin and filler compo-sitions as defined in Table S-PVDF.4.2.2 Each type of shape may be categorized into one ofseveral grades as follows:4.

16、2.2.1 Grade 1Unmodified VirginExtruded or com-pression molded product made using only 100 % virgin PVDFmaterial.4.2.2.2 Grade 2General PurposeExtruded or compres-sion molded product made using up to 20 % PVDF regrinddeveloped during internal processing steps may be used.4.2.2.3 Grade 3RecycledExtrud

17、ed or compressionmolded product made using up to 100 % recycled PVDF resin.4.3 The type, class and grade is further differentiated basedon dimensional stability (elevated temperature excursion test),Table S-PVDF, and dimensional requirements, Tables A and B.4.4 Property Tables:4.4.1 Table S-PVDF may

18、 be used to describe both extrudedor compression molded products.4.4.2 Table X may also be used to describe both extruded orcompression molded products not included in Table S-PVDFvia a cell callout that includes the applicable Table S-PVDFtype and specific properties (Designations 1-7).4.4.3 To fac

19、ilitate the incorporation of future or specialmaterials not covered by Table S-PVDF, the “as specified”category (00) for type, class and grade is shown in the tablewith the basic properties to be obtained from Table X, as theyapply.4.4.4 Reinforcements and Additive MaterialsA symbol(single-letter) w

20、ill be used for the major reinforcement orcombination, or both, along with two numbers that indicate thepercentage of addition by mass with the tolerance as tabulatedbelow. 25、e how an on-line, alpha-numeric sequence can identify the product composition, com-mercial parameters and physical characteristics of extruded orcompression molded product. A space must be used as aseparator between the specification number and the typedesignation. No separators are needed between t

26、ype, class andgrade. When special notes are to be included, such informationshould be preceded by a comma. Special tolerances must benoted at the time of order and are inserted after the grade inparenthesis and preceded by a comma.5. Property Requirements5.1 The physical property values listed withi

27、n this specifi-cations tables are to be considered minimum specificationvalues. Any requirement for specific test data for a givenproduction lot should be specified at the time of order. Physicalproperties for products not yet included in Table S-PVDF maybe specified using Table X for extruded or co

28、mpression moldedproducts.6. Dimensional Requirements6.1 The type, class and grade is differentiated based ondimensional stability (elevated temperature excursion test),Table S-PVDF and dimensional requirements, Tables A and B.Products shall be produced within commercial tolerances andwith the lowest

29、 stress levels for machined parts as delineated inTablesAand B for extruded and compression molded products.6.2 Tubular bar dimensions shall be supplied in the unfin-ished condition, unless otherwise specified at time of ordersufficient to finish to the nominal dimension ordered.6.3 The maximum allo

30、wable camber or bow, or both, shallbe within the limits referenced in Tables A and B.7. Workmanship, Finish and Appearance7.1 AppearanceThe color of products shall be as pub-lished by the shapes manufacturer. They shall be uniform incolor throughout the thickness. Specific colors and color-matching

31、only agreed to by order. Physical properties may beaffected by colors.D67130127.2 FinishAll products shall be free of blisters, wrinkles,cracks, gouges and defects that restrict commercial use of theproduct. A special surface finish shall be supplied only whenspecified in the purchase order or conta

32、ct.7.3 DefectsAll products shall be free of voids, dirt,foreign material and embedded particles exceeding132 in.maximum diameter as defined in 7.3.1.7.3.1 The criteria for determining internal cleanliness shallbe external visual inspection. A maximum number of twointernal defects per square foot of

33、sheet and one foot length ofrod and tubular bar shall be allowed. Clusters of defects lessthan132 in. diameter are to be counted as a single defect.8. Sampling8.1 Sampling shall be statistically adequate to satisfy therequirements of this specification as applicable (see ANSIZ1.4-1993).8.2 For purpo

34、ses of sampling, an inspection lot for exami-nation and tests shall consist of all material of the same type,class, grade, and nominal size submitted for inspection at onetime.9. Number of Tests9.1 Routine lot inspection shall consist of all criteria speci-fied in the applicable product tables.9.2 T

35、he criteria listed in these product tables and definitionsare sufficient to establish conformity of the sheet, rod or tubularbars to this specification. When the number of test specimensis not stated in the test method, a single determination may bemade. If more than single determinations and separa

36、te portionsof the same sample are made, the results shall be averaged. Thefinal result shall conform to the requirements prescribed in thisspecification.10. Test Conditions10.1 Conditioning of SpecimensThe specification valuesand dimensions are based on conditioning techniques outlinedin Procedure A

37、 of Practice D 618.10.2 Standard TemperatureThe tests shall be conducted atthe standard laboratory temperature of 73.4 6 3.6F (23 62C) and 50 6 5 % relative humidity.11. Test Methods11.1 Test tensile strength at break, and tensile modulus(tangent) in accordance with Test Method D 638, at the rate of

38、0.2 in./min.11.1.1 Test all plate specimens in accordance with Type I ofTest Method D 638.11.1.2 Test all rod specimens in accordance with TestMethod D 638.11.2 Dimensional Stability:11.2.1 Specimen Preparation (A Minimum of Three TestSamples Required).11.2.1.1 Rods and Tubular BarPrepare each speci

39、men bycutting a 1.5 in. long slice using a coolant and good machiningpractices to a length of 1.000 6 0.005 in. Each end of thespecimen shall have machined surfaces.11.2.1.2 PlateEach specimen shall consist ofa2in.diameter disc machined from the flat (diameter shall equal testspecimen thickness with

40、 a minimum of 2.0 in.). The same careshall be used in the machining as described in 11.2.1.1. Thethickness of the specimen shall be that of the original flat fromwhich it was cut, no machining being done on the top orbottom faces.11.2.2 Testing ProcedureMeasure the outside diameterand thickness of t

41、he specimen as applicable at 73.4 6 1.8F (236 1C) to the nearest 0.0001 in. All measurements shall bedone on the centerline and 90 degrees from the centerline forplate. Also take measurements for thickness halfway to center,and for diameter at mid-point. Place the specimen in a bathconsisting of pol

42、yalkene glycol or an air circulating ovenheated to 280 6 5F (121 6 3C). After 6 h, allow thespecimen to slowly cool to room temperature at a rate not toexceed 40F (22C)/h. Measure the specimen at 73.4 6 1.8F(23 6 1C) and calculate the percent change in each dimen-sion.11.3 Lengthwise Camber and Widt

43、hwise Bow:11.3.1 Make all measurements for camber and bow usingthe maximum distance rod, sheet or plate deviates from thestraight line extended from edge to edge when measured inaccordance with 11.3.2. The shape shall be oriented such thatthe weight of the product does not influence the results.11.3

44、.2 Rod and Plate:11.3.2.1 RodLay rod on its side and measure it withconcave side facing a straight edge. Measure camber from thestraight edge to the maximum concave point on the rod.Camber may not exceed the values of Table A.11.3.2.2 PlatePlate shall not exceed the requirements ofTable B on the len

45、gthwise ends and widthwise edges when laidon a flat surface (crown side up).11.4 Squareness (Based ona4ftNominal Length):11.4.1 Measure and compare diagonal lengths (corner tocorner). Accept the product if the difference is116 in. or lessand the measured minimums diagonal meets the followingrequirem

46、ents:11.4.1.1 1 ft wide is 4912 in. minimum.11.4.1.2 2 ft wide is 5334 in. minimum.11.4.1.3 4 ft wide is 68 in. minimum.11.4.2 If the diagonal difference exceeds116 in., proceed tomeasure the gap (that is, the deviation froma2ftsquare). Themaximum allowable gap shall not exceed18 in. except for the1
