The measurements were deriv
3、ed originally from the 1970 Voluntary ProductStandard PS 42-70 by the U.S. Department of Commerce National Bureau of Standards.21. Scope1.1 These tables list body measurements of young adultfemale junior figure type, sizes 0 to 19. Although these arebody measurements, they can be used as a baseline
4、in design-ing apparel for young women in this size range when consid-ering such factors as fabric type, ease for body movement,styling, and fit.1.2 The junior body is younger, not fully developed, with ahigher waistline than other womens size ranges.1.3 The values stated in either acceptable SI unit
5、s orinch-pound units shall be regarded separately as standard. Thevalues stated in each system may not be exact equivalents;therefore, each system must be used independently of the other,without combining values in any way.1.4 This standard does not purport to address all of thesafety concerns, if a

It is theresponsibility of the user of this standard to establish appro-priate safety and health practices and determine the applica-bility of regulatory limitations prior to use.2. Significance and Use4.1 The use of the body measurement information in Tables1 and 2 will assist manufacturers in developing patterns andgarments that are consistent with the current anthropometriccharacteristics of the population of
9、 interest. This practiceshould in turn reduce or minimize consumer confusion anddissatisfaction related to apparel sizing. (Also refer to ISO3635 Size Designation Procedures.)5. Apparatus5.1 Tape Measure, dimensionally stable and approximately15-mm (12-in.) wide and accurately graduated in mm (116-i
10、n.)increments.5.2 Plastic Goniometer, to measure the degree of shoulderslope.5.3 Scale, standard, calibrated body weight type.6. Procedure6.1 General:6.1.1 For all measurements, subject is to be standing erect,arms down, without shoes and with feet approximately 15-cm(6-in.) apart unless otherwise s
