1、Designation: D 7047 04Standard Test Method forMucilloid Content of Plantago Insularis (Ovata, Psyllium)Used as a Tackifiers1This standard is issued under the fixed designation D 7047; the number immediately following the designation indicates the year oforiginal adoption or, in the case of revision,
2、 the year of last revision. A number in parentheses indicates the year of last reapproval. Asuperscript epsilon (e) indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.1. Scope1.1 Quantitive test method to determine the mucilloid con-tent of plantago insularis (Ovata, Psyllium) used
3、as a tackifier.1.2 The purpose of this test method is to provide a means ofevaluating the amount of mucilloid in a plantago insularis(Ovata, Psyllium) tackifier.1.3 The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as thestandard. The values in parenthesis are provided for informa-tion only.1.4 This

Summary of Test Method3.1 Product specimen is taken and weighed,
6、 saturated andmeasured. The mucilloid content is expressed as a percent.4. Significance and Use4.1 The meaning of the test is related to the manufacturingand end use of the material, to determine characteristics ofproducts.5. Apparatus5.1 Electronic Gram Scale or Balance Scale, minimumaccuracy 0.000

Calculation or Interpretation of Results8.1 Calculate the percentage mucilloid as follows:Mucilloid C

Precision and Bias10.1 PrecisionIt is not possible to specify the precision ofthe procedure in D 7047 for mucilloid content of plantagoinsularis (Ovata, Psyll
