1、Designation: D7506/D7506M 12D7506/D7506M 17Standard Test Method forPocket Reinforcement1This standard is issued under the fixed designation D7506/D7506M; the number immediately following the designation indicates theyear of original adoption or, in the case of revision, the year of last revision. A

2、number in parentheses indicates the year of lastreapproval. A superscript epsilon () indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.1. Scope1.1 This test method utilizes the grab procedures to determine localized weakness due to bar-tacking in the pocket areas of alltypes of gar

3、ments. This can be utilized to test bar-tacking in the pockets of shirts, as well as side or back pockets of trousers, pants,or jeans.1.2 This test method provides the values in both inch-pound and SI units. Inch-pound units is the technically correct name forthe customary units used in the United S

4、tates. SI units is the technially correct name for the system of metric units know as theInternational System of Units. The values stated in either SI acceptable metric units or inch-pound units are to in other units shallbe regarded separately as standard. The values stated in each system may not be

Combining values from the two systems may result in non-conformance with thestandard.other, without combining in any way.1.3 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associate

Apparatus5.1 Constant-rate-of-extension (CRE) tensile testing machine, as used in Test Method D5034, conforming to Specification D76.5.2 Clamps and jaws, rubber faced or other gripping surfacejaw faces must measure 1.0 6 0.02 in. (25 6 1 mm)25 6

16、 1 mm(1.0 6 0.02 in.) wide at least 1 in. (25 mm),25 mm (1.0 in.), perpendicular to the direction of the force, and not less than 25 normore than 50 mm (1.0 nor more than 2.0 in.). The back, or bottom, jaw face of each clamp shall be at least as large as its mate.Use of a larger face for the second

17、jaw reduces the problem of front and back jaw face misalignment.6. Safety PrecuationsPrecautions6.1 It is the users responsibility to use safe and proper techniques when handling or using any of the equipment mentioned.6.2 Good laboratory practice should be followed. Wear safety glasses in all labor

If multiple samples are available, cut, if possible, a minimumof 3 specimens. If not, test an agreed upon number of samples.8. Preparation of Apparatus8.1 Tensile Testing Machin
