Significance and Use5.1 This practice provides guidance on sa
8、mpling of EPSgeofoam in order to determine compliance to SpecificationD 68176. Procedure6.1 Initial Sampling6.1.1 Select samples of the EPS Geofoam from a firstproduction lot to ensure compliance with Specification D 6817.Selection of samples shall be as agreed on between purchaserand supplier.6.1.2
9、 Initial sampling shall include sampling of three sets ofspecimens. The sets shall be selected from different regions ofa single EPS Geofoam block. The regions shall include thecorners of the EPS Geofoam block and the center of the EPSGeofoam block as shown in Fig. 1.NOTE 1Some EPS Geofoam Suppliers
10、 may cut larger sized blocksinto two or three smaller sized blocks. 14、be conducted by a test laboratory incompliance with ISO/IEC 17025.6.1.6 The average compressive resistance for the 5 speci-mens shall meet the requirements of Table 1 of SpecificationD 6817 for the Type(s) tested. No individual sample result maybe less than 90% of the minimum requirement.6.2 Ongoing
15、 Sample6.2.1 Select samples of the EPS Geofoam from ongoingproduction lots at the frequency noted in Table 1 to ensurecompliance with Specification D 6817. Selection of samplesshall be as agreed on between purchaser and supplier.6.2.2 Ongoing sampling shall include sampling of one set ofspecimens. T
16、he set shall be selected from a random region ofa single EPS Geofoam block.6.2.3 A minimum of 5 specimens shall be cut from therandom region of the block. The specimens shall be distributedevenly through the height of the block. The specimens shall notbe selected adjacent to the surface of the block
