Scope1.1 This specification covers bituminous water vapor retarders for use in contact or granular fill under concrete slabs.1.2 The specified tests are conducted on new materials and materials that have been conditioned or exposed to simulate potentialservice conditio

The values given inparentheses are provided for information only and are not considered stated in each system may not be exact equivalents; therefore,each system shall be used independently of

Sampling4.1 Each sampling shall consist of sufficient material to provide at least five specimens for the tests listed in Section 7.5. Specifying Information5.1 Specification for materials shall include the following:5.1.1 This spec

17、ification number, and5.1.2 Performance requirements, if any, for special conditions (see 7.6).6. Lap Sealing6.1 This producer shall provide supplier/seller/installer with instructions for lap sealing, including minimum width of lap,method of sealing, and shall either supply or recommend specified su

18、itable products for lap sealing.7. Properties7.1 The bituminous membrane water vapor retarder shall consist of asphaltic materials reinforced with multiple plies of suitablefabric. The bituminous vapor retarder shall meet the requirements listed in Table 1 as well as those outlined below.7.2 Permean

19、ceMaterial, including lap seals, shall conform to the requirements listed in Table 1 under the following conditionswhen tested according to Test Methods E154E154/E154M, Section 7 (based on Test Methods E96/E96M). Laboratory conditionsfor temperature shall be 23 6 1C (73.473.4 6 1.8F)1.8F and test hu

20、midity shall be 50 6 2 %.7.2.1 Permeance of new material.7.2.2 Permeance after Wetting, Drying and SoakingRefer to Section 8 of Test Methods E154E154/E154M.7.2.3 Permeance after Testing for Resistance to Deterioration from Organisms and SubstanceSubstances in ContactingSoilSee Section 13 of Test Met

25、lied in the purchase order or contract, the purchaser shall be furnished with certification that samples representingeach lot have been tested or inspected as directed in this specification and that requirements have been met.4 See 3.2.3 of Test Methods E154E154/E154M.
