、Designation: E 2127 01a (Reapproved 2007)Standard Methods ofStatic Load Test for Combined Tensile and Transverse LoadResistance of Paneled Wall Systems in BuildingConstruction1This standard is issued under the fixed designation E 2127; the number immediately following the designation indicates the y

、ear oforiginal adoption or, in the case of revision, the year of last revision. A number in parentheses indicates the year of last reapproval. Asuperscript epsilon (e) indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.1. Scope1.1 These test methods cover the procedures for determin

、-ing the resistance of paneled wall systems subjected to com-bined lateral loads and axial loads.1.2 These test methods involve the simultaneous applicationof transverse (lateral wind) and tensile (wind uplift) loads topaneled wall system assemblies anchored at both ends withhold-down connectors.1.3

、 These test methods are suitable for determining thestructural adequacy of the design, system, and wall fabricationtechnique, and are not intended to evaluate the strengthcapacity of the hold-down connectors.1.4 This standard does not purport to address all of thesafety concerns, if any, associated

、with its use. It is theresponsibility of the user of this standard to establish appro-priate safety and health practices and determine the applica-bility of regulatory limitations prior to use.2. 7、 is determined by applying a simultaneous tensile andtransverse load to a wall specimen. This is accomplished byanchoring one end of the specimen and applying a tensile loadto the opposing end while applying a transverse load; see Figs.1 and 2. Significance and Use5.1 The procedures described will test the behavior ofsegments of paneled wall system construction under conditionsrepresentative of those encountered in service.
