Asuperscript epsilon () indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval. This standard has been approved for use by agencies of the Department of Defense.1. Scope1.1 Thi

3、s test method covers a procedure for determining theeffect of an air stream upon sprayed fire-resistive materials(SFRMs). These SFRMs include sprayed fibrous and cemen-titious materials. The test method is applicable only to labora-tory procedures.1.2 The values stated in SI units are to be regarded

4、 as thestandard. The values given in parentheses are mathematicalconversions to inch-pound units that are provided for informa-tion only and are not considered standard.1.3 This standard does not purport to address all of thesafety concerns, if any, associated with its use. In this testmethod, the SFRM is subjected to a tangential air stream for aminimum of 24 h. Collection filters downstream from thesample are weighed at frequent in

Significance and Use5.1 It is the intent of this test method to determine propertiesof SFRM that may be used to provide an indication ofserviceability. 15、various influences that may occur during con-struction and during the life of the structure, as well as upon itsperformance under fire conditions.5.2 Air erosion tests on SFRMs are conducted to evaluatethe behavior of the SFRM when subjected to plenum airstreams during normal service conditions. Suc

Apparatus6.1 Duct System, made of galvanized steel, horizontallypositioned, with one rectangular opening 0.37 m2(4 ft2)inthecenter of the top of the duct and 50 mm (2 in.) from eachvertical side.6.2 Pitot Tu

18、4 Filters, upstream from the test specimen (at the blowerend) and located downstream of the test specimen. These filtersshall be made of 30-denier nylon. The nominal construction ofthe fabric shall be 37 ends per 10 mm (94 ends per in.), and32 picks per 10 mm (81 picks per in.), or finer.6.5 Scale,
