1、Designation: F 1120 87 (Reapproved 2004)An American National StandardStandard Specification forCircular Metallic Bellows Type Expansion Joints for PipingApplications1This standard is issued under the fixed designation F 1120; the number immediately following the designation indicates the year oforig

2、inal adoption or, in the case of revision, the year of last revision. A number in parentheses indicates the year of last reapproval. Asuperscript epsilon (e) indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.1. Scope1.1 This specification establishes the minimum require-ments for t

3、he mechanical design, manufacture, inspection, andtesting of circular metallic bellows-type expansion joints usedto absorb the dimensional changes resulting from pipingthermal expansion or contraction, as well as the movement ofterminal equipment and supporting structures.1.2 Additional or better fe

Where the system lacks this inherentflexibility the designer should then consider adding flexibilitythrough the use of metallic bellows-type expansion joints.1.4 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regardedas the standard.
