1、Designation: F 1566 99 (Reapproved 2004)Standard Test Methods forEvaluation of Innersprings and Boxsprings1This standard is issued under the fixed designation F 1566; the number immediately following the designation indicates the year oforiginal adoption or, in the case of revision, the year of last

2、 revision. A number in parentheses indicates the year of last reapproval. Asuperscript epsilon (e) indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.1. Scope1.1 These test methods cover nationally recognized methodsfor testing mattress innersprings and boxsprings to ensureuniformit

3、y of results.1.2 These test methods are applicable to un-upholsteredinnersprings and boxsprings only and are not applicable tofinished upholstered mattresses or boxsprings. Any conclusionscovering such items are outside the scope of these testmethods.1.3 The durability test (Section 7), impact test

4、(Section 8)and firmness retention test (Section 9) require the use of anupholstered innerspring or boxspring, or both. A standardizedupholstery is specified in each case.1.4 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regardedas the standard. The values given in parentheses are forinformation on
