Scope1.1 This test method establishes the classification and test-ing of cord as a component material used in t

3、he fashioning ofbowstrings.1.2 This test method is not intended to provide informationbeyond any evaluation of the cord material that would deter-mine its fitness for use other than in the fabrication ofcompleted bowstrings.1.3 This standard does not purport to address all of thesafety concerns, if

6、ology3.1 bowstring, ncompleted assembly constructed in partfrom multiple strands of cord material lashed at the center andloop ends with serving string materials and used to connect thelimbs of a bow by which to launch an arrow.3.2 cord material, napplied to a variety of natural ormanmade textile ma

Cord material may be of monocord,twisted, cable, or braided construction.3.3 denier, tex, ndirect yarn numbering systems express-ing size of cord material in terms of mass (weight) of unitlength per 9000 m (9842 yd) for denier or 1000 m (1094 yd) fortex.3.4 diameter, nmeasure of the thickne

Significance and Use4.1 This test

11、 method is intended to provide the user of cordmaterials for bowstrings the basic information for evaluationand procurement.4.2 This test method is not meant to be all inclusive sincespecial circumstances may occur that will dictate the use ofnonconforming procedures for evaluation. 12、tances and the requirements they establish cannot be antici-pated totally and, therefore, must be considered on an indi-vidual basis.5. Record as “L1 Original Length.”5.4.2 After marking the prestressed test specimen, addspecified weight (see Table 1) to each hook weight in

Measure index markdistance to nearest 1 mm and record as “L2 Original Stretch.”5.4.3 After 24 h, measure the index mark distance to nearest1 mm and record as “L3 24-h Stretch.”5.4.4 After 48 h, measure the index mark distance to thenearest 1 mm and record

Report test resultsentitled EASL 80 % as the average of five test specimens/sample and the average of three samples.6.
