Scope1.1 This classification aids search and rescue managers inordering dog crew/team resources for search and rescueincidents and to aid do

3、g handlers in communicating the typesof tasks for which they and their dogs have trained.1.2 This classification is intended as a supplement to theresource typing specifications of the Incident Command Sys-tem2and specifically as a means of typing search and rescuedog resources.1.3 This classificati

4、on is suitable for classifying dog re-sources for a wide variety of emergency management purposesincluding both search and rescue and law enforcement inci-dents.1.4 This classification does not attempt to put forth stan-dards of performance or training for dogs or their handlers.This is the responsi

9、ping of SAR dog resources is based upon the mostbasic methods of using working dogs engaged in search andrescue activities. These two basic types are based upon whetheror not the dog can effectively discriminate between the humanscent of different individuals.4.2 Type ITrained to discriminate human
