3、pe*1.1 This practice covers the procedures for the reconstruc-tion of pipelines and conduits (4 to 60 in. (100 to 1500 mm)diameter) by the pulled-in place installation of a resin-impregnated, flexible fabric tube into an existing conduitfollowed by inflation with compressed air (see Fig. 1). Theresi

4、n/fabric tube can be cured by either the flow through thefabric tube of mixed air and steam or hot water or by use ofultraviolet light. When cured, the finished cured-in-place pipewill be continuous and tight fitting. This reconstruction processcan be used in a variety of gravity flow applications s

5、uch assanitary sewers, storm sewers, process piping, electrical con-duits, ventilation systems, and pressure applications.1.2 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regardedas standard. Significance a

20、nd Use4.1 This practice is for use by designers and specifiers,regulatory agencies, owners and inspection organizations whoare involved in the rehabilitation of conduits through the use ofa resin-impregnated fabric tube, pulled in place through anexisting conduit and subsequently inflated and cured.

21、 As forany standard practice, modifications may be required forspecific job conditions.5. Recommended Materials and Manufacture5.1 GeneralThe fabric tube, resin and external prelinersshall produce a CIPP that meets the requirements of thesespecifications.5.2 CIPP Wall CompositionThe wall shall consi

22、st of acorrosion resistant fiberglass fabric tube (Fig. 2) saturated witha thermosetting (cross-linked) resin, and if used a fillermaterial.5.2.1 Fabric TubeThe fabric tube shall consist of at leasttwo separate tubes made of corrosion resistant (E-CR orequivalent) glass fibers in accordance with Spe

23、cification D578.Where a removable calibration hose is used, the internalsurface shall consist of a resin rich layer for high chemical andabrasion resistance. The fabric tube shall further be constructedwith longitudinal unidirectional glass roving of sufficientstrength to negotiate a pulling force a

24、t least equal to the weightof the liner. The fabric tube shall tolerate circumferentialchanges in the existing conduit. In order to allow a close fitinstallation in deformed host pipes, as well as to avoid wrinklesin the final CIPPproduct, the fabric tube shall be produced withan under measurement o

25、f at least 1% of the host pipes nominaldiameter, and the ability to be over-expanded by at least 1% ofthe host pipes nominal diameter. The ability to over-expand isessential to avoid annular spaces or cavities between the hostpipe and the liner and thereby to guarantee the conditionsassumed in the s

26、tatic calculation of the CIPP and to avoid orreduce the infiltration of ground water into manholes alongsidethe outer surface of the liner.5.2.2 External FoilsThe external foils (Layer 1 and 2 inFig. 2 and Fig. 3) shall consist of one combined or more layersof tube-shaped plastic foils which are res

27、istant and imperme-able to moisture, in cases where styrene based resin is used,impermeable to styrene and, in cases where a UV cure reins isused, light proof.5.2.3 Calibration hoseThe calibration hose (Layer 6 inFig. 2 and Layer 5 in Fig. 3) which is installed during theconstruction of the fabric t

28、ube, shall consist of a tube shapedplastic foil or resin-saturated coated felt tube resistant andimpermeable to moisture and, in case a styrene based resin isused, styrene and able to resist temperatures up to 260F(126C) while exposed to the installation pressure sufficient tokeep the fabric tube ti

29、ght against the pipe wall. It shall furtherrelease easily from the inside wall for removal, when theinstallation is finished.5.2.4 ResinThe resin system shall consist of a chemicallyresistant polyester or vinyl ester thermoset (Heat or UV-light-cured) resin and catalyst system or an epoxy resin and

30、hardenerthat is compatible to the installation process. Heat cured resinsystems shall have an initiating temperature less than 180F(82C). For UV-light cured systems a photo-initiator systemmust be added to the resin prior to the impregnation. Thephoto-initiator system shall be tuned to the UV-curing

31、 equip-ment used or vice-versa.5.2.5 PropertiesThe cured CIPP product shall at leasthave the initial structural properties given in Table 1. Thesephysical properties should be determined in accordance withSection 7 of this practice.5.2.6 Chemical ResistanceThe inner surface of the curedresin/fabric

32、matrix shall be evaluated in a laminate for quali-fication testing of long term chemical exposure to a variety ofchemical effluents and should be evaluated in a mannerconsistent with 6.4.1 and 6.4.2 of Specifications D5813. Theedges of the test coupons shall be sealed.6. Installation Recommendations

33、6.1 Cleaning and Pre-Inspection:6.1.1 SafetyPrior to entering access areas such as man-holes, and performing inspection and cleaning operations, anevaluation of the atmosphere to determine the presence of toxicor flammable vapors or lack of oxygen shall be undertaken inaccordance with local, state o

34、r federal safety regulations.6.1.2 Cleaning the PipelineAll internal debris shall beremoved from the original pipeline. Gravity pipes shall becleaned with hydraulically powered equipment, high velocityjet cleaners, or mechanically powered equipment in accordancewith NASSCO Recommended Specifications

35、 for Sewer Col-lection System Rehabilitation. Pressure pipelines shall becleaned with cable attached devices or fluid propelled devicesin accordance with AWWA Manual on Cleaning and LiningWater Mains, M28.6.1.3 Line ObstructionsThe original pipeline should beclear of obstructions such as solids, dro

36、pped joints, protrudingservice connections, collapsed pipe, and reductions in thecross-sectional area that may hinder or prevent the installationand curing of the resin impregnated fabric tube. Where theinspection reveals an obstruction that cannot be removed byconventional sewer cleaning equipment,

37、 then a robot with acutter or other suitable tool should be used to remove theobstruction.6.1.4 Inspection of PipelinesInspection of pipelines shallbe performed by experienced personnel trained in locatingbreaks, obstacles and service connections by closed circuittelevision or man entry. The interio

38、r of the pipeline shall becarefully inspected to determine the location of any conditionsthat prevent proper installation of the impregnated tube, suchas protruding service taps, collapsed or crushed pipe, andreductions in the cross-sectional area. These conditions shall benoted and corrected prior

39、to the installation.6.1.5 Pre-Measurement of Service Connections:F2019 1136.1.5.1 A pre-measuring of all service locations shall beperformed by experienced personnel. Visible indentations bythe lateral connections may not be readily identified.6.1.5.2 The measurements shall be noted in a log alsocon

40、taining information about the clockwise position of theopening.6.1.6 Bypassing:6.1.6.1 Where bypassing the flow is required around thesections of pipe designated for reconstruction, the bypass shallbe made by plugging the line at the up-stream end of the pipeto be reconstructed and pumping the flow

41、to a downstreampoint or adjacent system.6.1.6.2 The pump and bypass lines shall be of adequatecapacity and size to handle the flow. Services within the reachshall be temporarily out of service.6.1.7 Public advisory services shall be required to notify allparties whose service laterals are out of com

42、mission and toadvise against water usage until the lateral line is back inservice.6.2 Installation Methods:FIG. 2 Composition of Fabric Tube (UV cure)F2019 1146.2.1 Sliding Foil and Winch CableUpon verification ofthe removal of all debris and protrusions a sliding foil and awinch cable may be pulled

43、 through the line. The sliding foilshall cover approximately the lower third or up to half of thecircumference of the pipe, as recommended by the manufac-turer.At the upstream end it is locked in place by being insertedunderneath the plug used to block the flow in the manhole.6.2.2 Pulling Head or P

44、ulling Manifold and Invert RollerThe liner is connected to the winch cable by forming a pullinghead or using a pulling manifold. A pulling head can be madeby turning the end of the liner over into a loop. If a pullingmanifold is used it shall be attached to the end of the liner withsufficient streng

45、th to transfer the pulling force. It contains amounting point for the air/stream hose. During the mounting ofthe pulling manifold care shall be taken to provide an airtightfit of the calibration hose to the manifold. If a pulling head hasbeen used it shall be dismantled after pulling in the liner. T

46、hena manifold is mounted airtight into the calibration hose. Aninvert guide roller is placed in the winch manhole. 49、sin (wet-out) in the manufacturers plantunder quality controlled conditions, on-site or in a mobile wetout unit. The impregnation equipment shall contain devices tosecure a proper distribution of the resin. Certification docu-mentation concerning date, type of resin, resin volume, mixingratio, liner thickness, temperature, type of glass fiber, linertype, manufacturing date and last installation date shall beattached to the impregnated fabric tube or provided by theCIPP manufacturer.6.4 Storage and Transportation:6.4.1 Termocurring CIPPThe impreg
