Scope1.1 This practice provides a framework for reporting theresults of slip resistance tests.1.2 ApplicationT

3、his practice is intended for use as asuggested format for recording and reporting data obtainedduring slip resistance testing. It is recognized that it may not benecessary or possible to record all of the data for all types oftests; however, this practice is considered a basic approach fordata colle

4、ction.1.3 This standard does not purport to address all of thesafety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is theresponsibility of the user of this standard to establish appro-priate safety, health and environmental practices and deter-mine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior t

5、o use.1.4 This international standard was developed in accor-dance with internationally recognized principles on standard-ization established in the Decision on Principles for theDevelopment of International Standards, Guides and Recom-mendations issued by the World Trade Organization TechnicalBarri

6、ers to Trade (TBT) Committee.2. Significance and Use2.1 This practice provides a basic approach for recordingthe preparation, parameters, and results of field slip resistancetesting. It is intended to assist those performing such tests indocumenting information gathered for further analysis, inprepa

7、ration for writing a final report, or for record keepingpurposes.2.2 Potential users include those performing slip resistancetesting in the field, such as industrial and commercial safetyprofessionals, facility management and maintenancepersonnel, forensic engineers, insurance company and brokerloss

8、 control specialists, and research personnel.3. Report3.1 Report the following information for test preparation(see Fig. 1):3.1.1 Client/customer.3.1.2 Location/address.3.1.3 Date and time of test(s).3.1.4 ASTM test method used.3.1.5 Name of tribometer operator and employing company.3.1.6 Address an

9、d telephone number of tribometer operator.3.1.7 Type of tribometer (for example, brand and model)and serial number.3.1.8 Test foot preparation protocol.3.2 Report the following information for test parameters andresults:3.2.1 Specific floor location and orientation of the tribom-eter where the test

10、was performed.3.2.2 Type of test foot material (for example, Neolite testliner, leather, or nitrile rubber).3.2.3 Slope of the surface being tested.3.2.4 Floor material and texture.3.2.5 Floor FinishIndicate the type of finish (for example,type of wax, polish, or paint) applied, if any. Also indicat

11、e thecondition of the finish.3.2.6 Floor ConditionsIndicate if clean or contaminated.If clean, indicate the method of cleaning. If contaminated,indicate the type, continuity, and thickness of the contaminant.3.2.7 Wet or dry testing.3.2.8 Temperature and relative humidity (if relevant).3.2.9 Tribome

12、ter reading.3.3 Provide any comments pertinent to the testing.4.
