SUGGESTED PROCEDURE FOR LEAK TESTING OF THE PLENUM CHAMBERX1.1 ScopeX1.1.1 This section covers a recommended procedure to beused in evaluating leaks in the plenum chamber.X1.2 ProcedureX1.2.1 Connect the plenum cham
29、ber to the manometerusing14 in. inside diameter vinyl tubing as shown in Fig. X1.1.X1.2.2 Seal off the test unit inlet using a gasketed plate orother suitable means.X1.2.3 Insert the sealed suction orifice plate into the orificeplate holder and secure.X1.2.4 Using a vacuum source, apply 80 to 90 in.
30、 of watercolumn vacuum to the suction source tubing inlet depicted inFig. X1.1. (This can be achieved by inserting and sealing thetubing inlet into a crevice nozzle connected to a canistervacuum product which utilizes a two stage vacuum motor/blower system).X1.2.5 Pinch off the suction source tubing
31、 using a clampand remove the inlet tubing from the vacuum source. Wait 15to 20 s, in order to allow the water column to drain andstabilize, and then record the initial manometer value to within0.1 in. of water column.NOTE 1Holes are for centering and fastening the mounting ring to plenum chamber wal
32、l using screws and a sealing gasket. Optional methods ofmounting are acceptable, provided mounting ring is centered on hole specified in plenum chamber wall and resulting joint is air tight.NOTE 2See orifice plate (Fig. 2) for tolerances.NOTE 3The mounting ring usually is positioned on the plenum ch
