Scope1.1 This specification covers minimum requirements for aquality assurance program for powered parachute aircraft.1.

3、2 This specification applies to powered parachute aircraftseeking civil aviation authority approval, in the form of flightcertificates, flight permits, or other like documentation.1.3 This standard does not purport to address all of thesafety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is therespo

4、nsibility of the user of this standard to establish appro-priate safety and health practices and determine the applica-bility of regulatory limitations prior to use.2. Significance and Use2.1 The purpose of this specification is to provide theminimum requirements necessary for the establishment of a

5、written quality assurance program for a light sport aircraftmanufacturer, or component supplier.2.2 Off-Site Final AssemblyOff-site final assembly ordivided production facilities, or both, are specifically allowed ifthe QA procedures provide for training, reporting, and trackingconsistent with the o

6、verall QA system.3. Materials and Manufacture3.1 Drawing Control ProcedureA written procedure shallbe in effect so that appropriate manufacturing drawings, theirmanufacturing revisions, and related documents are utilized foreach project.3.2 Component Control Procedure:3.2.1 A written procedure shall

7、 be in effect so that materials,processes, and components, including raw materials, are inaccordance with the manufacturing specifications.3.2.2 This procedure shall provide the purchasing agentwith all of the information required to order appropriatematerial.3.2.3 A written receiving procedure shal

8、l be in effect so thatincoming material and components are checked against thepurchasing specifications.3.2.4 A written procedure shall be in effect so that materialin stock can be properly identified for future use.3.2.5 Documentation on any material, process, or compo-nents certified shall be file

9、d for reference.4. Inspection4.1 A written procedure shall be in effect so that appropriateinspections are made on manufactured parts and subassem-blies, for conformance with engineering specifications.4.2 A written procedure shall be in effect so that appropriateinspections are made on purchased co

10、mponents.4.3 A written procedure shall be in effect so that completedunits are inspected prior to delivery.4.4 Nonconforming components shall be identified andevaluated for disposition as follows:4.4.1 A component not suitable for use shall be altered ordisposed of to avoid accidental use.4.4.2 Rewo

11、rked components shall be re-inspected in accor-dance with 4.1, 4.2,or4.3 of this specification prior to use.4.4.3 In some cases, a component may be determined to be“acceptable as is” or “as modified” after further evaluation. Insuch cases, appropriate review, acceptance, and documentationshall be a

12、requirement.4.5 AuditsA written procedure shall be in effect to per-form audits of the Quality Assurance Program at least onceevery two years.5.
