4、itations prior to use.2. Significance and Use2.1 This specification specifies the minimum warnings andinstructions that are to be provided on the CO2cylinder itself.3. Conformance3.1 Paintball CO2cylinders shall not, either by label or othermeans, indicate conformance with this specification unless,
5、 atthe time of manufacture, they conform with all applicablerequirements contained herein.4. Product Marking4.1 Refillable CO2cylinders used in the sport of paintballshall be prominently and durably marked to convey thefollowing cautionary statement:4.1.1 A signal word such as “WARNING” or “ DANGER”
6、.4.1.2 A warning that the cylinder can fly off with enoughforce to kill if the valve unscrews from the cylinder.4.1.3 Instructions to look at valve when removing thecylinder.4.1.4 Instructions to stop if valve starts to unscrew from thecylinder.4.1.5 Instructions to screw it back on and take it to a
7、 trainedperson for repair if the valve does start to unscrew from thecylinder.4.1.6 A warning that the cylinder is an explosion hazard.4.1.7 Notice that improper use, filling, storage or disposalmay result in property damage, serious personal injury, ordeath.4.1.8 Notice that the cylinder must be fi
8、lled only by properlytrained personnel in accordance with CGA Pamphlets P-l, C-6,G-6.8, and AV-7.24.1.9 Notice that valves must be installed and removed onlyby trained personnel.4.1.10 Instructions to not exceed the cylinders marked CO2capacity.4.1.11 Notice to not expose to temperatures exceeding13
9、0F when pressurized.4.1.12 Notice to not use caustic cleaners or strippers.4.1.13 Instructions to not modify or valve the cylinder inany way.4.1.14 Notice to not remove or cover the label.4.1.15 Notice that the cylinder must be destroyed if exposedto fire or heated to a temperature exceeding 350F.4.
10、1.16 Notice to keep cylinder out of reach of childrenwithout proper supervision.4.2 Markings must include the maximum CO2capacity ofthe cylinder in a prominent manner.4.3 Markings must indicate the manufacturer or distributoror retailer of the cylinder or completed cylinder assembly.4.4 Markings mus

This sample does not includeinformation in 4.3 as required.4.6 The warnings, instructions, and notices may be a com-bination of upper and lower case letters an
12、d must be of a sizenot less than 8-point type. The letters in the signal word shallbe at least 50 % larger than the letters in other words in thecautionary statement. The signal word shall be in sans serifletters in upper case only and preceded by a safety alertsymbol. It is composed of an equilater
13、al triangle surroundingan exclamation point. The base of the safety alert symbol shallbe on the same horizontal line as the base of the letters of thesignal word. The height of the safety alert symbol shall equalor exceed the signal word height. All words and symbols mustcontrast with the background
