18、 ISO equation,6is used in this specificationto relate dimensions, hydrostatic design stress, and pressurerating:2S/P 5 DO/t! 1 (1)or2S/P 5 R 1where:S = hydrostatic design stress, psi (or MPa),P = pressure rating, psi (or MPa),DO= average outside diameter, in. (or mm),T = minimum wall thickness, in.

19、(or mm), andR = standard dimension ratio, SDR.3.2.4 standard dimension ratio (SDR)the ratio of outsidediameter to wall thickness. For PE-RT-tubing, it is calculatedby dividing the average outside diameter of the tubing in inchesor in millimeters by the minimum wall thickness in inches ormillimeters.

20、 If the wall thickness calculated by this formula isless than 0.070 in. (1.78 mm) it shall be arbitrarily increased to0.070 in. except for sizes18 in. and smaller. The SDR valuesshall be rounded to the nearest 0.5.3.2.5 standard thermoplastic material designated codethepipe material designation code

PE-RT tubing with a barrier layer withinthe wall of the tubing (neither exterior layer nor interior layer)shall demonstrate a hydrostatic design stress (HDS) ratingequivalent to that of

27、 PE-RT tubing without a barrier layer. Thisdetermination shall be made in accordance with policies no lessrestrictive than those of the PPI HSB and meet the require-ments of this standard.5.3 Rework MaterialClean rework material of the samecommercial designation, generated from the manufacturersown
