Scope1.1 This specification establishes requirements and testmethods for dimensions and tolerances of central-vacuum hoseinlet valve sockets.1

Significance and Use4.1 The requirements of this specification are intended toprovide inlet valve socket dimensions to establish standardiza-tion of connections between central vacuum hose cuff a

10、nd thesocket of the central vacuum hose inlet valve.5. Materials5.1 Basic MaterialsMetallic and non-metallic as specifiedby the central vacuum inlet valve purchaser and the seller.6. Requirements6.1 GeneralDimensions and Tolerances:6.1.1 Socket DimensionsThe socket dimensions shallmeet the requireme

11、nts given in Fig. 1, when measured inaccordance with Test Method D2122.7. Test Method7.1 SamplingThe selection of Hose Inlet Valve samplesshall be as agreed upon between the purchaser and seller. Incase of no prior agreement, samples selected by a testinglaboratory shall be deemed adequate.7.2 Condi

12、tioningFor time-of-manufacture testing, condi-tioning shall be permitted at the ambient temperature andhumidity of the manufacturers facility. For non-metallic ref-eree purposes, conditioning shall be in accordance with proce-dure A of Practice D618.7.3 TestingTesting shall be in accordance with Tes

Retest and Rejection8.1 If the results of any test(s) do not meet the requirementsof this specification, the tests shall be conducted again inaccordance with an agreement between the purchaser and theseller. There shall be no agreement to lower the minimumrequirements of this s

16、pecification by such means as omittingtests that are a part of this specification, substituting ormodifying a test method, or by changing the specificationlimits. In retesting, the product requirements of this specifica-tion shall be met, and the test methods designated in thespecification shall be

17、followed. If, upon retest, failure occurs,the quantity of product represented by the test(s) does not meetthe requirements of this specification.9. Quality Assurance9.1 When the product is marked with this designation,ASTM F XXXX, the manufacturer affirms that the product wasmanufactured, inspected,

18、 sampled, and tested in accordancewith this standard and has been found to meet the requirementsof this specification.10.
