For the maintained code lists of DE150, DE560, DE751, DE822, DE1000, DE1271 and DE1
10、301 the complete list of code values are shown. For DE26, DE66, DE100, DE116 and DE156 external sources, a contact is given from which the user can obtain a current list. DE128, DE235 and DE1104 contain code lists that are subsets of ASC X12 maintained code lists for which either EGCS maintains asso
11、ciated phrase codes and values, or, associated values are found in an external code list. All EGCS maintained codes listed in Section 10.4 can be used immediately, regardless of the X12 Version/Release listed in the header of this document. The Version/Release number is only used to identify the att
12、ributes that the ASC X12 Data Elements are related to. Part 2 (Country subdivision codes) establishes a code that represents the names of principa

Part 3 (Codes for formerly used names of countries) establishes a code that represents non-current country names, i.e., the country names deleted from ISO 3166 since its first publication in 1974. Most currencies are
17、those of the geopolitical entities that are listed in ISO 3166, Part 1, Codes for the Representation of Names of Countries. The code may be a three-character alphabetic or three-digit number. The two leftmost characters of the alphabetic code identify the currency authority to which the code is assi
18、gned (using the two character alphabetic code from ISO 3166, if applicable). The rightmost character is a mnemonic derived from the name of the major currency unit or fund. For currencies not associated with a single geographic entity, a specially-allocated two-character alphabetic code, in the rang
19、e XA to XZ identifies the currency authority. The rightmost character is derived from the name of the geographic area concerned, and is mnemonic to the extent possible. The numeric codes are identical to those assigned to the geographic entities listed in ISO 3166. The range 950-998 is reserved for
