Major topics include general requirements, testing, packaging, and applicationguidelines.This specification makes use of both U.S. Customary Units and the International System of Units (SI). Since

7、nternet:.iiiAWS A5.14/A5.14M:2011Statement on the Use of American Welding Society StandardsAll standards (codes, specifications, recommended practices, methods, classifications, and guides) of the AmericanWelding Society (AWS) are voluntary consensus standards that have been developed in accordance

8、with the rules of theAmerican National Standards Institute (ANSI). When AWS American National Standards are either incorporated in, ormade part of, documents that are included in federal or state laws and regulations, or the regulations of other govern-mental bodies, their provisions carry the full

9、legal authority of the statute. In such cases, any changes in those AWSstandards must be approved by the governmental body having statutory jurisdiction before they can become a part ofthose laws and regulations. In all cases, these standards carry the full legal authority of the contract or other d

10、ocumentthat invokes the AWS standards. Where this contractual relationship exists, changes in or deviations from requirementsof an AWS standard must be by agreement between the contracting parties.AWS American National Standards are developed through a consensus standards development process that br

11、ingstogether volunteers representing varied viewpoints and interests to achieve consensus. While the AWS administers theprocess and establishes rules to promote fairness in the development of consensus, it does not independently test, evalu-ate, or verify the accuracy of any information or the sound

30、ety for Testing and Materials and the American Welding Society and was issued in 1956. Eight yearslater, the first revision was prepared by the joint committee. This is the sixth revision prepared exclusively by the AWSA5 Committee on Filler Metals and Allied Materials.Substantive changes are shown

Scope1.1 This specification prescribes requirements for the classification of bare nickel and nickel-alloy welding electrodes,strip e

40、lectrodes, and welding rods. It includes those compositions where the nickel content exceeds that of any other element.1.2 Safety and health issues and concerns are beyond the scope of this standard and, therefore, are not fully addressedherein. Some safety and health information can be found in the

41、 nonmandatory annex, Clauses A5 and A10. Safety andhealth information is available from other sources, including, but not limited to, ANSI Z49.1, Safety in Welding, Cutting,and Allied Processes, and applicable federal and state regulations.1.3 This specification makes use of both U.S. Customary Unit

42、s and the International System of Units (SI). The measure-ments are not exact equivalents; therefore, each system must be used independently of the other without combining inany way when referring to material properties. The specification with the designation A5.14 uses U.S. Customary Units.The spec
