3、s reported in obtaining sheet material to produce washers to the required imperial thicknesses, this1979 edition has been prepared to specify the washer thicknesses in metric units. Reasonable thickness tolerances are specified to cover a broad band of the sheet tolerances available. Imperial thickn
4、ess materials may still be used if the overall tolerances are maintained. Amendment No.1 (AMD1186) to the1970 edition, which specified dimensions of oversizes, has been incorporated. A British Standard does not purport to include all the necessary provisions of a contract. Users of British Standards
