9、e back coverBS3944-1:1992 ii BSI 07-1999 Foreword This Part of BS3944 has been prepared under the direction of the Cinematography and Photography Standards Policy Committee. It supersedes BS3944:1965, which is withdrawn. The definitions of standard colours included in the1965 version of the standard
10、 are no longer considered appropriate matters for standardization. The main purpose of Part1 of the revision of this standard is to incorporate the methods of test for the flammability of plastics given in BS2782-1 Methods140D and140E. The revision also introduces requirements for dimensional stabil
11、ity when subject to heat. It is anticipated that compliance with BS3944-1 will be required by entertainment licensing authorities and other safety standards enforcement agencies. Part2 of the standard will consist of additional requirements for colour fastness and consistency. A British Standard doe

Compliance with a British Standard does not of itself confer immunity from legal obligations. Summary of pages This document comprises a front cover, an insi

The length of the edge along the top of the filter material which has shown charring or scorching

NOTEIt is important that vendors and purchasers should be able to identify material warranted by the manufacturer a

Because it is not usually practicable to mark the material itself, it is recommended that the required identifying marking be provided on packaging or interleaving materials or roll cores using adhesive labels or similar methods. 1) Marking BS3944-1 on or in relation t

For the purposes of this standard this method may be used for any thin sheet filter material. Where the edge of the test specimen produced by
