It has been necessary to produce this Part of BS 4305 to deal, in the interim, with those clauses of BS 4305:1972 that are not yet standardi
8、zed within the European Committee for Standardization (CEN). As soon as the relevant CEN documents are published and adopted nationally this Part will be superseded and withdrawn. 11、f acrylic material. NOTEThe titles of the publications referred to in this standard are listed on the inside back cover. 2 Connecting dimensions The bath connecting dimensions illustrated in Figure 1 shall comply with the requirements in Table 1. Table 1 Connecting dimensions 3 Tap holes Baths shall
12、 be provided either with or without tap holes, but a bath with tap holes complying with the following requirements shall be provided unless otherwise ordered: Hole diameter 36 mm Distance between 180 mm hole centres NOTETap holes are normally positioned centrally but alternative positions can be pro
13、vided if ordered. 4 Waste hole The waste hole form shall be such that when a gauge complying with Figure 2 is inserted in the waste hole, the part of the gauge that is shown cross-hatched in Figure 2 does not protrude either above the top edge of the waste hole or below the bottom edge of the waste
14、hole. NOTEThis waste hole is suitable for type 11 and type 13 waste fittings of BS 3380. 5 Overflow hole Baths shall be provided either with or without overflows, but a bath without an overflow shall only be supplied if so ordered by the purchaser. 6 Chain stay hole When no overflow hole is provided
15、, a 7 mm diameter hole for the chain stay shall be provided, the centre of which shall be 60 mm maximum below the top of the flange.
