6、T BS 4742 : Part 8 : 1990 Foreword This British Standard has been prepared under the direction of the Agricultural Machinery and Implements Standards Policy Committee. Most agricultural tractors are fitted with remote power services, each controllable either mechanically or electrically by the opera
7、tor from the normal seated position on the vehicle. Modern use of colour codes and symbols for the identification of the relation of power services to individual controls has highlighted the need for standardization in this area. Compliance with a British Standard does not of itself confer immunity

NOTE. The titles of t
9、he publications referred to in this standard are listed on the inside back cover. 2 Definition For the purposes of this British Standard, the following definition applies. remote hydraulic power service. A controllable source of hydraulic power external to the tractor to which hydraulically operated
10、 devices can be connected, generally via quick release fluid couplings. Such power services are normally each provided with two couplings, one for feed/lift and the other for returddrop. This definition includes both single acting or double acting (reversible) services. 3 Colour and symbol coding Th
11、e controls shall be individually colour coded and marked with a symbol. The colours and symbols shall be as follows: Symbol Colour I Green II Blue III Brown IIII Black NOTE 1. Where only one service is provided colour coding is optionai. NOTE 2. The numeral symbols are included in this standard to a

An example of coding dual transparency for window- mounting is given in figure 1. 4 Location of coding and symbols 4.1 Control actuators The surface of the control on which the operator applies the actuation force sh

The symbol shall be placed as close to the control as possible preferably in association with the pictorial which indicates the individual directional functions of the control. 4.2 Service outlets It shall be possible for the operator to identify, from both the control operating
